Yulia V. Rumyantseva is a Doctor of Medical Science, head of the Department of Optimization of Oncological Diseases’ Treatment at the Dmitry Rogachev Federal Research Center of Pediatric Hematology, Oncology and Immunology.
In 1995 Dr. Rumyantseva graduated from the Pediatric Faculty of the Russian State Medical University. In 1995-1997 she was a clinical resident at the Research Institute of Pediatric Hematology. In 1997-2001 she worked as a hematologist at the Oncohematology Department of the Russian Children’s Clinical Hospital. Since 2001 Dr. Rumyantseva has been working at the Research Institute of Pediatric Hematology (since 2011 – Dmitry Rogachev Federal Research Center of Pediatric Hematology, Oncology and Immunology): in 2001- 2006 as a researcher at the Erythron Pathology Department; in 2006-2007 as a head of the Erythron Pathology Department; since 2007 as a head of the Therapy Optimization Department; since 2011 as a head of the Department of Optimization of Oncological Diseases’ Treatment.
In 2002 Dr. Rumyantseva successfully defended her PhD dissertation, in 2011 – her Doctor of Medical Science dissertation.
In 2008-2010 Dr. Rumyantseva worked at the N.I. Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University first as a teaching assistant, then as an assistant professor at the Department of Childhood Diseases # 3 at the Pediatric Faculty. Since 2013 she has been an assistant professor, since 2014 an associate professor at the Oncology, Hematology and Beam Radiation Therapy Department at the Pediatric Faculty. Since 2015 Dr. Rumyantseva has been supervising the Students’ Science Study Group at the department.
Dr. Rumyantseva’s research interests lie in the field of diagnostics and treatment of hematological and oncological diseases in children and teens; she actively participates in development of national research protocols of the Moscow-Berlin series for treatment of acute lymphoblastic leukemia in children.
Dr. Rumyantseva authored 120 scientific articles in Russian and international medical publications, five monographs and guidelines.
Dr. Rumyantseva is a member of the Russian National Society of Pediatric Hematologists and Oncologists, executive secretary of Oncohematology journal. She received the “True Calling” National Award as one of the best doctors in Russia.
